Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate.

I have been loving the salted caramel hot chocolate's at Starbucks this season but they are a little on the pricey side so I decided to make my own. I used a caramel hot chocolate sachet from options (you can also use caramel sauce and plain hot chocolate), and added just under 1/4 tsp of sea salt, sea salt is really strong so don't add to much. I then generously applied whipped cream and sprinkled a little more salt on top. I finished my masterpiece by adding sprinkles and chocolate sauce!

Chocolate Brownie?

I made these chocolate brownies from a recipe I saw on amazingphil's youtube account and my must say they turned out amazingly, they were so gooey and addictive.

Let the Countdown Begin.

I may be 19 but when it comes to Christmas, I'm mentally about 5 and since my family don't really celebrate Christmas, an advent calendar is the one tradition I get to indulge in, I get really excited when it comes the time to pick one, though it's a hard choice. Last year I had a Mr Men one (because when are you ever too old for Mr Men) and this year I went for a classic Thornton's one. It's pretty hard not to scoff all the chocolates before Christmas though.

Do you still get an advent calendar?

Did Someone say Christmas Leggings?

I absolutely LOVE all things festive, so when I saw the youtuber Zoella show these leggings in a haul video I knew I had to have them! I don't think they're everybody's cup of tea but I absolutely love them for snuggling up in at home.

Zara Boots.

I am most definitely a boots girls when it comes to Autumn/Winter. These are one of my favourite pairs, they're so unique and yes maybe a little hard to style sometimes, but I absolutely adore them. These beauties are from Zara.

What are your favourite pair or boots?

I love popcorn, but it isn't the healthiest snack so I don't tend to eat it very often. However, now I've found a way to make a healthier and cheaper version I might indulge in it more often. I buy a pack of plain, unpopped popcorn colonels and pour a suitable amount into a bowl. I then add a small amount of olive oil to allow the seasoning to stick to the colonels and also add the seasoning. I like to add salt, pepper and chilli powder for a bit of a kick, but you can add sugar or whatever you want. I then put a large enough pan on the hob on quite a high temperature and put a bit of olive oil in the pan. I wait till the pan is extremely hot, add the colonels and shut the lid straight away and watch it pop away until the popping subsides.

It's great because you can personalise it to exactly how you want it and experiment with flavours. I wouldn't go so far as to say it was 'healthy' unless you don't add any seasoning, but much healthier than ready made and microwave packets.

What's your favourite flavour of popcorn?

Post Secret.

So I have mentioned the website post secret before, people create postcards and send in their secrets and their website is updated every Sunday. I think a regular post of mine is going to be sharing my favourite postcard of the week.

This one was actually put up a while ago but it struck such a chord with me and brought a tear to my eye, so I saved it.

Top 5 Dresses.

I'm really a year round dress type of girl, I pretty much wear them every day, whether it layeres up with chunky knits and thick tights in the winter or going bare legged (if I'm brave enough) in the summer. So I thought I'd share my top 5 dresses right now.

This dress can be dressed up or down although it's a bit thin so I definitely have to pile on the layers for these winter months.

Everyone needs a smart black dress. This one is perfect for interviews as I'm currently on the job hunt and it was only about £16 from Dorothy Perkins and the fit of it is so flattering.

Navy blue is probably my favorite colour, I think its so classic, and I think this dress it too, great considering it was under £20 at H&M.

Another Dorothy Perkins number which I love, and the burgundy colour is right on trend! Also, I love Dorothy Perking dresses because the aren't ridiculously short so you dont have to be concious of your bum showing every time you go out.

(Apologies for the creases) This may not be everybody's cup of tea but I absolutely love the bright print, it's so different to everything else in my cupboard especially, as you can see from the selection above, I tend to stick to dresses in one colour and accessorise it up from there, but this dress is great for when I cant really be botheres to plan an outfit but I still want to stand out. This one is from Mango at asos. I especially love the slight dipped hem.

You can see the general shape of dresses I go for which most flatter my figure, although I often wear belts with them to add a bit more definition to my waste.

Picture of the Day.

So, as my A-levels became a prominent feature in my life, I neglected this blog. However, now I'm on a gap year and find myself wanting to post again. Although the majority of what goes on this blog will still be fashion and beauty related I'm also going to post recipes, pictures and anything really that I want to share with the world. I've really been enjoying trying to take inspiring pictures recently so I feel "Picture of the Day" posts will allow me to share them with you. I hope you enjoy the new content. :)
What you see before you is possibly the best chocolate ice cream I have ever tasted and it is from none other that good old Costco believe it or not. It's the sweetness and chocolatiness of ice cream whilst being the creaminess of frozen yoghurt. One word. YUM. Jamilah x
