TURKEY! - Image Heavy

As you know, I recently returned from Turkey. It's been crazy, I went to an economics summer school straight after I got back but I have finally got round to doing this post.
Turkey was an amazing place and the people there are SO nice, I think it's been my favourite holiday place to go, I really hope I can go back. We went to Istanbul for 4 days which was near the city, markets and historical sites. We then went to Antalya where we stayed at the most amazing hotel I've ever been to and it was next to the sea and shops which was a more relaxing area.
Also the hotel we stayed at in Antalya is on of " The worlds weirdest hotels" which may explain some of the pictures.
I thought I'd share my holiday pics, however, pictures don't live up to seeing the culture and scenery first hand at all. You should all go if you get the chance!
Here are the pictures, including a few outfits! :)

ISTANBUL

ANTALYA

View from my window.

The hotels revolving loft rooms (Yes the go ROUND!) which we didn't stay in.

Hadrians Gate.

THE WRITING PILLAR in the hotel - don't worry I made my mark!

Yes we had chair swings, a climbing wall and a massive bookshelf in the middle of the hotel!

Diving Board into the sea.

I hope you enjoyed my pictures and that all of you are having great summers. Have you been anywhere exciting?
Also, I think I might to one post of all the things I bought in Turkey so watch this space.

Lusting.

I am seriously lusting a few pairs of Topshop shoes right now. They're all so pretty, with a price tag that shows it!

£100
Seriously - need I explain? >> Brown leather + Studs + Boots = ME in a pair of boots. A bit too pricey for me though.

£68
A bit of a cheaper substitute for the studded ones. They're still very cute!

£36
These shoes are quite controversial and I'm sure a lot of people will hate them. But personally, I love them and can see getting a lot of wear out of them in Winter!

Which pair of boots do you prefer?

The pictures from my trip to Turkey will be up soon and you'll gradually be seeing the ridiculous amount of stuff I bought, although prices were much more reasonable there. I hope nobody has got caught up in any of the riots. Stay Safe! :)

Gogo Philip.

Hello everybody!
I do believe I've mentioned Gogo Philip in a previous post when I purchased something from there but I've been looking at some of their jewellery online and I really love it and felt the need to share! Some of it's simple and classic and other pieces are much edgier. Some of the items are a little pricey but they stock the jewellery at Topshop so if you have a student card you can get a discount. Also, the Gogo Philip concession stand in Westfield also often has good discounts and deals on. You can also buy their jewellery from their website, but as I said it's a little pricier.
Here are my favourite...

1. Skull Ring ~ £4
2. Cross Ring ~ £4
3. Gold Pope Ring ~ £5.50 - This was the ring I bought and featured a while ago, however I got it for £3.50 from the Westfield concession stand.

I think that Gogo Philip's rings are my favourite piece of jewellery they make. Not only are they adjustable, so they fit anyone and you can wear them on pretty much any finger depending on the day but they are also relatively reasonable compared to many high street shops rings! AND THEY'RE PRETTY! :)

Moving on to some of the more simple, classic pieces...

4. Gold Bangles ~ £17 - Yes, very pricey but I can so see myself wearing these in years to come both during the day AND in the evening!
5. Gold plated Chain Bracelet ~ £6 - Again a bit of a classic and also a bargain for that price if you get a lot of use out of it!

6. Gold Plated Chain Linked Stud ~ £7

I hope you like my selections. Anybody bought anything from Gogo Philip?
What do you think of them?

Newspaper Nails.

So I tried something new and exciting with my nails and I got quite a few compliments so I though I'd share. I came across a picture of them and thought I HAD to try it out.

Mine are a little messy but as you can see I have just used a pale background colour which is Mint Green by Barry M so that the writing on top shows up.

What you need:
-  Pale coloured nail varnish
- Surgical spirit ( known as rubbing alcohol in America, I got a massive bottle for about £4 from amazon), you can also use vodka
- Base coat and top coat

How To Do This:

1. Apply a base coat to protect your nails and then paint your nails a pale colour.
2. Cut up 10 small pieces of newspaper, big enough to cover your nail.
2. Fill small pot ( I filled the lid of the bottle) with surgical spirit (or other).
3. When nails are COMPLETELY dry insert first nail into pot of surgical spirit (or other) for about 5 seconds.
4. Remove nail and hold down piece of newspaper onto nail for about 15 seconds.
5. Remove newspaper and repeat on all nails.
6. It is very important to apply a base coat so that it doesn't rub off!

And there you go, newspaper nails!

Just a tip, definitely wait till your nails are 100% dry because I didn't and the nail polish peeled off.

What do you think?
