Rebecca Ferguson.

You may have seen a recent post in which I featured Rebecca Ferguson. Looking through her outfits I've realized the beauty of that look was not a one off. Whilst the other xfactor contestants stumble out of the xfactor house in trackies, Rebecca never fails to look elegant, glamorous and dressy both on and off stage. I haven't seen a single picture of her in her "comfies" Just take a look (I'm sorry there are so many, I just couldn't choose)...

I especially love the fur-trimmed coat in the first picture.

She already looks like a rockstar in the first picture, her dress is really cute. I WANT it!

The gown in the first picture is beautiful. And I love the shoes and jeans in the second picture, how does she pull of that hat?

My favorite outfits! Especially the middle one. The hat, the shoes, the lace-trimmed dress, the bows and pearls. She's really individual. She never dresses down, but always looks comfortable.

She's really chic, and amazingly naturally pretty. What I'd do to have her wardrobe...

Corsages.

As I participate in the Young Enterprise scheme within my school which gives students the chance to start as business with the guidance of a business adviser from a local company, our company has come up with 2 products to sell, one of them are corsages.
You may know them as the flowers that people wear to Prom's in America, but a lot more people in england have started to wear them on their clothes, in their hair and on bags everyday. We hand make all of them and charge £2.50 to sell them.
Here are some pictures:-

They're so versatile and can be worn on most items of clothing.

More about our other product in a later post.

Harry Potter Premiere.

It was so hard to pick my favorite outfits to the most fashionable event of the month. The Harry Potter premiere, so this is a rather picture heavy post. ENJOY!

Well Chloe Moretz is definitely the most stylish 13 year old I've ever seen!

Gossip Girl's Clemence Posey sports a beautiful black lace dress with small black satin flower detail, puffed sleeves and sleek black shoes.

I can definitely see a pattern of black and lace emerging, Emma Watson decided this skimpy black faux fur trimmed dress was for her. Considering her usual elegant and quirky style, I find this dress disappointing, I think there's too little of it. Come on Emma don't let yourself down, ever heard of the boobs OR legs rule?

Nice dress Konnie, but didn't your mother ever tell you that a lady should ALWAYS keep her legs together, especially when wearing a dress!

I like how brave Helena Bonham Carter has been with this out there, purple and black number. It might not be MY first choice but I do admire her individuality.

Now for the boys...

This suit is genius. Do you think they have a woman's version...?

I do think there's a fine line between stylish and feminine for boys. I still can't get over the idea of straight men standing in front of their mirrors putting on guy-liner before they go out. These guys just about fall into the stylish category, but anymore hair gel and pouting and I'll start to wonder...

And now for the real gem of the evening. I saved the best till last because I thought this girl looked really beautiful...
Rebecca Fergson looks absolutely stunning. The simple dress, hair and makeup accentuates her natural beauty. And I'm rather fond of the shoes too...

Cher and Katie joined her on the red carpet but I don't think either of them look nearly as good as Rebecca. I think it proves what the simplicity of an outfit can do rather than a slightly overcluttered look like Katie's.

An Outfit In Detail.

I saw another blogger do this a while back and thought I'd give it a go myself. I chose clothes with lots of texture and bright colours and photographed them up close.
I hope you like the pictures.

I love the contrasting textures of the thick knitted jumper and elbow patch (Zara Man) and the simple elegance of the rings which softens the overall look.

The charcoal coloured jumper and vibrant bag look amazing against eachother.

What can I say? I do love my riding boots, especially the buckle detail.

Emma Watson.

So there's been a lot of controversy about Emma Watson's new pixie crop which is an increasing popular trend for many celebrities to get the chop for example...

Carey Mulligan
I much prefer Carey's crop, she has a great face and brilliant cheekbones to pull it of and I think she looks really quirky and cool.

Hayden Panettiere
I love Haydens long locks but I think the second picture showing her cut that just skims the shoulders, really suits her, it accentuates her jawline and looks really good. In the third picture, I'm not sure if she's cut it again or just gelled it back, but hair that short is not a good look for her due to her more rounded face. Also, the way she's gelled it back doesn't look great either.

And finally...
Emma Watson!

I really don't like her new hair, she does have a fantastic face that can pull it off, but I'm sorry I much preferred her gorgeous long, wavy blonde hair and I think it made her look a lot prettier. I suppose she was brave to take a risk but I'm definately disappointed as I used to think she was one of the prettiest femal celebrities.
Oh why did she get rid of her hair?

Personally, however much my dad nags me about needing to get a major haircut, I don't think I'd ever get the crop. For one thing, I don't have the highly accentuated cheekbones to pull it off but also because it's taken me almost 6 years to grow my hair and I'm very much fond and attached to it. :)

What do you think of the crops?

London Fashion Week.

Sorry I've been a tad MIA this past week but I've just been so busy. I promise to be better next week.
My post is going to be on possibly what every fashion blogger is posting about this week.
The one. The only. London Fashion Week.
I'm going to show you my favorite celebrity outfits from London fashion week after spending hours scouring through photos.

Ahh Alexa Cheung, yes I DO love her style, although I not as keen on the 2nd outfit, I love the first. The tweed jacket is really different and cool, and I kinda want one. I also love the simple white shirt she's paired it with and then the unusual accessories, I think it comes together really nicely.

On the left, Lisa Snowdon's outfit is really simple yet really chic, the all black with the black double breasted gold buttons looks really good and fits in with the military trend. Also, on the right, size 12 supermodel Erin O'Connor's jacket is such a vivid and cool colour. And personally, I LOVE the t-shirt.

I couldn't find any pictures of Emma Watson from this London Fashion Week, but these are some previous pictures of her from the same event. I'm not always a massive fan of what Emma Watson wears but I think these two pictures show her two completely different types of style, which I think is really good. She can look all glamorous and sparkly in the gold belted dress yet still look incredibly stylish and sophisticated pulling of casual grunge with a veneer of ssphitication. That and her radiant face (though her hair is a tragic loss) can pretty much pull anything off. Jealous? Me? Never!

British actress Alice Eve on the left wore possibly my favorite outfit. She looks alsolutely amazing in the White, knee-legnth dress with a scooping neckline (I guess she got the memo about the 'only boobs OR legs thing'), thin belt and subtle necklace. The bag is beautiful chocolate coloured leather, and although I'm don't really like pointy shoes, they are really nice and look amazingly pretty and incredibly coordinated with the rest of her outfit. Her subtle make-up and natural hair completes the look to perfection.
Lastly, Jameela Jamil cleans up very nicely in that skintight black dress. I'm not much of a fan of her style because I generally think she shows too much skin, but this suitable length dress with cap-sleeves is really appropriately accessorised and looks really nice.

Hope you liked all the outfits.
I have a giveaway I think I'll launch sometime during the week so watch this space! :)

Cable Knit.

The whole cable knit thing is really getting big at the moment, especially with winter round the corner. It may remind you of balding men who play cricket, but if you get it right you'll look great.
These are my favorite cable knit jumpers at the moment.

1. Both Topshop £48

Navy, cream, cardigan, jumper. You want it, Topshop will have it. I love the Navy one for something a bit different and they look uber comfy!

2. Zara £29.99

If you're looking for something a little more fitted than than the Topshop one, and about £20 cheaper, then this is perfect smart-casual wear.

3. Left Zara £25.99, Right Zara £19.99
Zara, as usual are way ahead of everyone else doing both pieces in Camel, Cream or Green. I love the green ones, but any would be good by me. They're thick and warm as well as being unique with the gold buttons on the cardigan and cropped sleeves on the sweater.

4. River Island £34.99
A little pricey but I love this one, I think it's my joint favorite with the Zara sweater, and the small studs give it and little extra something.

I love all of them and I hope you like some of them too.

Recent Purchases.

Right I'm going to show you what I have recently bought. All sorts of exciting things.
Here we go...

1. Navy Hooded Duffel Coat - Topshop £80
Oh this Navy duffel coat is nothing less than beautiful. I get a whiff of nostalgia when I put it on - It reminds me of when I had to wear a duffel coat to school when I was little with the toggles and all. It's also very snug and has a hood. Probably my best Winter buy this year.

2. Knitted Scarf - Zara £9.99
This is the comfiest, softest, warmest scarf I've ever owned. I actually bought it in Navy but they didn't have navy on the website and this was my second favorite colour. They have it in a range of other colours too, I bought my sister the grey one. I feel like a big fluffy marshmallow in it.

3. Leggings - both Zara £19.99
I wear leggings practically all the time so you can see why I invested in these on trend camel leggings and grey ribbed leggings from Zara. The grey ones were actually reduced to £9.99 for a while which is the price I got them for but they've gone back up to £19.99. They're still very much worth it, they're extremely warm and comfortable.

4. Union Jack Weekend Bag - Accessorize £38

This is actually my school bag, I've had the same style bag from accessorize for the past 3 years as they come out on different patterns, I love this style because its so sturdy which I need with all the heavy books and it looks good.

5. Black Buckle Shoes - Kate Kanzier £35
These were a real bargain if you ask me, again they are school shoes and they're probably the school shoes I've liked the most. They are incredible comfortable, I got no blisters when I first wore them, they're really sturdy, they have no laces (always a bonus) and most of all... they're pretty!

Hope you enjoyed my little display of purchases.
Until next time.

Spot the Difference.

I've been seeing the new Alexander McQueen skull scarf EVERYWHERE or so it seems. Everyone including The Saturdays, Ashleigh Simpson, Kim Kardashian, Nicole Richie and Madonna's daughter Lourdes Leon (though why a 13 year old girl needs a £215 scarf beats me), have been spotted wearing it.
I have to say these aren't my biggest fashion idols but they've found something good. The chiffon beauty comes in simple and wearable with almost anything, black and white to wacky and best for occasional use, green and purple.
I reckon the black and white version of this scarf will be a classic, something which will stay with you a long time and although I'm not a massive fan of skulls I have to say I adore this scarf.
Now I know what you're thinking, £215 on a scarf which is why I have found something truly incredible. A far, far cheaper version of the scarf from very.co.uk. It's every bit as pretty but the best part is that it's only £8!!! So spot the difference...

The one on the left is the £8 one and on the right we have the £215 scarf.
They look practically identical.
Warmth. Edginess. Cheapness AND Stylishness.
I couldn't ask for much more from a scarf.

Acne.

I mentioned the whole fur-lined jacket trend in a previous post and I have found the Messiah of aviator jackets as far as I'm concerned...

This aviator jacket from Acne is truly beautiful. They sell it in black too but I personally prefer it in grey. The shearling collar, the zips, the colour... it's a shame it's selling for £1,135 which is WAY out of my price range but hey if you have the money I'd say it's a pretty darn good investment if you'll wear it a lot.

I'm off to dream about the jacket...

She Wears the Boots Too...

When you live in England, you kinda have to embrace and love boots due to the constantly changing and mainly cold weather. Luckily for me I LOVE my boots. I've been a bit bad recently and bought a few new pairs in preparation for Winter. Here are 5 pairs of boots which I think could take you from early Autumn to late Spring. Even if you only have one pair of boots I think it's important to have them in a neutral colour like black or brown so they go with almost anything and in Winter I constantly wear boots so luckily I have plenty of options...

1. Office £35.
Yes, these boots you could say are 'interesting', lots of tassels. You may find these horrible but I think they're pretty cool, they're very different and unique, the only bad thing about them is that they don't go with a lot of outfits buy I think they're good to wear once in a while.

2. Kurt Geiger £90
I love these boots and I went through quite a mission to get them. The first time I wanted them my dad refused to buy them and they sold out, so for months I looked on ebay to see if anyone was selling them, failing that I typed the name of the boots into google and it turned out they were back in stock at Kurt Geiger. I had to wait to put some money in my account to buy them, but after a couple of days they had sold out again. So I emailed them to ask them if they would get them back and they sent me an email of the shops where they were available, these shops included Harrods, Fenwick etc. so putting on my poshest accent I phoned them. The only bad thing was that I have to pay £10 delivery making it £90 altogether but I do think this was a bargain considering they were reduced from £150.

3. Faith £35
I think I've shown these boots before, I love the studs and buckles on them, I don't wear them a lot though because they rattle and the heels click which makes me slightly uncomfortable. They're really pretty though. Faith shoes are only available at Asos now.

4. Aldo £100
This was the truly beautiful present I got from doing well in my GCSE's, they are sooooo beautiful. I really like riding boots. Slightly pricey but SO worth it.

5. Asos (H By Hudson) £125
These are my sisters new boots which she adores. They're really pretty and they go with almost anything. Warm. Stylish. Brilliant for Winter. I'm rather jealous...

Hope you guys love boots as much as I do!

Winter Time!

I am SO excited for Winter. It's just like I get excited for the floaty dresses and sandals just before summer. Although I love that I'm now excited for the chunky knits, tights, leggings and lots of warm, comfy layers! Also, nothing is better than the Christmas atmosphere in London which isn't too far away. I know I'll regret saying this when I'm freezing my butt off at the bus stop in a few weeks, oh well...
So because of winter time approaching I thought I talk about the big winter trends and show you some items from shops that I think will fit well with the different themes.

1. Camel Coats
Camel is everywhere for winter! You cannot avoid it, so if you don't like it, live with it or grow to love it. Personally, I really like it, it's such a neutral colour and goes with almost anything. The first coat is £70 at Asos, the second coat is £80 at Topshop and the last coat is £45 at Next.

2. Military
Military is massive, anything double-breasted is pretty much acceptable. Buttons, buttons, buttons are key!
1- Urban Outfitters £195!, 2 - Dorothy Perkins £26, 3 - Asos £46.

3. Lace-up Shoe Boots
I'm sure you must have caught onto this trend as it's been going on for quite a while but I think it's great, your feet are warm and comfortable but they also look really good, what more would you want in the winter?
1 - www.chockersshoes.co.uk £35, 2 - Kurt Geiger £79.99, 3. All Saints £175

4. Denim Jackets
You can't go wrong with a denim jacket, I especially like the first one, it's really funky and the studs make it really edge, a lot of people are wearing them, cropped ones are really big.
1 - Topshop £40 2 - River Island £44.99 3 - Oasis £45

5. Fur-lined Jackets
I was not too keen on fur-lined jackets when I first saw them, I thought they were a bit chavvy, I do think they are an acquired taste but I actually really like them now, they remind me of helicopter pilots in those old movies you see. Haha, pretty lame but hey, these are my favorite.
1 - River Island £59.99, 2 - Asos £110, 3 -  Next £75

Well hope you enjoyed it all.
